Christmas Traditions

I'm sure your family has Christmas traditions, mine does of course. But sometimes, creating a new tradition is exciting. I'm currently going to start one after Christmas, I would earlier, but I can't. the tradition I'm going to start, is that I'm going to make a rag doll or two, and every Christmas I make them a new dress! (Just like Josefina's mother did in the books!) I will give the doll to my children and continue making dresses for them, in hopes they pass on the tradition.

If you want you could do this to, basic sewing skills is all it requires, you could even hand sew it! A basic piece for the doll itself, some yarn for hair, a button or maybe some stitching for eyes, a painted mouth maybe a nose, add a dress and bam! An adorable doll!

You can make one and start the same tradition as I am for fun!

Pioneer Christmas

My family, has a very pioneer Christmas. Yeah, we have modern conveniences, but it is a very pioneer type of Christmas. And I love it, we do the same things the pioneer's did. So now, I'm going to tell you how we share similarity to pioneers.

Christmas Oranges. The only time of year my parents buy oranges, is in the winter around Christmas. They are a special thing, my dad got Christmas oranges as a kid, so my family, well, they buy them in bulk for Christmas. Christmas oranges are special.

Family. We spend a lot of time with out family during Christmas, it used to be that we traveled, but now the people come visit us. My mother's parents and my cousin, came to visit us this time, they arrived yesterday and are staying until just after Christmas, like good neighborly pioneer's would we give them places to stay. And on the Christmas gathering, we have a nice meal with me, my parents, my brother, my aunt and uncle, my grandmother and grandfather, and my cousin. We play games and talk and exchange a few gifts.

Special Food. Like Christmas oranges, over the holidays my parents break out some expensive cheese, summer sausages, boxes of crackers, oh, and drinks like cider and eggnog. (Or Yaknog, as my family calls it.) Special treats only occur during the holidays, enjoy them.

Baking. How much does your family bake during the holidays? Well mine does a lot, cookies, haystacks, chocolate covered pretzels, you name it, we bake it. And I adore baking so of course I add to the deliciousness.

All these things are much like what the pioneer's did! Think about what you share in common with them and traditions, the amount might surprise you.

If I were in a movie....

If I was in a movie, I would be dead. Why? Well it is obvious! But her is a list anyway,

1. I am the oldest sibling. (Lots of children's movies have the oldest sibling die to portray pain of loss and make the main character stronger.)

2. I am NOT an underdog. (Say what you please, but I am not one. While I am a bit nerdy I am not an underdog, I am actually quite tough and sturdy and not the type who is teased, I am also a person adults love, which you never seen in an underdog.)

3. I'm also very annoying.

4. And I'm good at hobbies and what I do, (Underdogs and characters who don't die off seem to be bad at everything.)

5. I have saved people, as in helped sick people, I once saved a friend's life when she got hurt to. People who are amazing and help people tend to die in movies for some reason...

Beauty For Girls On A Budget

Let me guess, you are a girl between the ages of 9-14 who just really wants to look pretty but doesn't have any money to spend on stuff? No worries, I have a list and guide here to help you look good and healthy with stuff you can find around your house!

For Your Skin:

Having nice, healthy looking, acne free skin will automatically make you look nice, but buying the stuff to make your skin look pretty, is well, expensive. But here is some stuff you can use to make it look better.

1. To keep it more acne free and clean as a whistle, once a day, sometime in the morning because that is when your face is dirtiest most likely, try taking some Hydrogen Peroxide (Be careful! Most hydrogen peroxide sold in drugstores and supermarkets comes in a brown bottle and says 3% on it, 3% is the concentration of it, and that is the common one. Most people only have 3% in their houses, but in my house we have some stuff that is more on the 30% scale, which is dangerous. So just ask an adult about the percentage before using it!) Get a cotton ball, tissue paper, paper towel, or clean wash cloth damp with the Hydrogen Peroxide, and gently wipe it on your face, (Avoid your eyes.) Hydrogen Peroxide kills bacteria, so it will kill the bacteria on your face and clean it! If your skin starts to tingle pr hurt a bit, to get scared, that is a normal thing that happens, it is just the Peroxide doing its job!

2. Take a day where you pull your hair and bangs away from your face, like, all day girls, no cheating, and wash your face that morning, it will help your skin out nicely.

3. If you have a sunburn or a rash, put COCONUT  oil on it, and only coconut! Canola oil or any other would just a mess, but coconut heals and soothes.

5. If you have a random lotion nobody uses just apply it to your hands, legs, and arms. Soft, healthy skin is nice. ESPECIALLY during winter when dry skin is common.

For Your Hair:

Clean shiny hair is like wearing your best dress everyday, it is awesome! But stuff like fancy shampoos, and deep cleansers are pricey. This is the cheap alternative!

1. Just wash it when it needs washing. Washing your hair everyday when you don't need to is actually really bad for your hair, it strips the oils out and damages it.

2. Take a day (Maybe that day when you have your hair pulled back) when your hair is oily and dirty, and leave it like that. The oils will help heal your hair and that night or the next day when you wash your hair it will be healthier.

3. For shiny hair, rinse your conditioner out (I suggest always doing conditioner last thing every time you shower) with COLD water. Rinsing your hair with cold water makes it shiny!

4. To make hair shiny and softer and healthier, have your mom or sister or someone help you, or carefully do this by tilting your head back so it doesn't get into your eyes or mouth, and rinse your hair with vinegar. White vinegar might be best, but it doesn't matter that much. Vinegar rinsing is a great way to clean hair and make it look AMAZING. But don't do it too often, try once every month or once every two weeks, on the days you aren't rinsing with vinegar just rinse your hair with cold water.

5. If you have super greasy hair but you want to leave it down while going out, find some baby powder, (I don't know why but everyone seems to have it.) place a little in your hand, and place it through the oily parts of your hair and pat, rub, or move it around until you can't tell there is baby powder in it, the powder can help absorb the oils and make hair feel a bit dryer.

For Your Lips:

Soft, healthy lips make a smile look much more beautiful. You don't need gobs of lipstick to make them look gorgeous!

1.  The best thing to keep lips soft is to have something moisturizing on them. Even when they aren't dry or chapped. Chap-stick isn't that expensive, but it is annoyingly easy to lose. Something better would to be, before you go out and before bed, try putting some Vaseline (Also known as Petroleum Jelly) on your lips! You probably have some in your house, and it works miracles! Ditch those lip glosses and just use Vaseline for glossy, healthy lips!

For Your Nails:

Fingernails don't need to be covered in gobs of colorful nail polish, so try saving it for parties, events, etc, plus, removing it once it chips and trying to fix it is a large pain.

1. Just keep your nails trimmed, I keep it in mind that when I clip my nails I let them be at the same length as the tip of my finger or just longer then that when trimming them, and letting them grow out is good though. I let mine grow out to be very nice and averagely long, but I only clip them back when one breaks. That is a good rule, you can grow your nails out for at most a month without clipping, but if one breaks during that time you needs to clip it so it is a normal shape, and clip the rest of your nails down to that length as well.

2. I love wearing nail polish, but I also like NOT wearing nail polish. So if you have a dollar to spare, I would suggest going and finding the cheapest possible CLEAR nail polish, yes, I said clear. I apply clear nail polish all the time because it makes natural nails nice and glossy, just like a models'! Plus, if it chips it is easier to fix than a colored nail polish.

3. And for toenails, well, keep them trimmed, avoid nail polish, use a clear polish if you want, but in general just keeping them trimmed is enough.

Budget Makeup:

So you need some makeup for something? An event, a party, school or family photos, well your house can have a couple handy things in it!

1. Blueberries. That sounds weird, but mascara is SUPER expensive, so instead, if you are on a budget and out of time, try putting a blueberry or two in a bowl, and sticking them in the freezer for five minutes. Once done, mash them up with a fork until you have a nice paste. After that take a q-tip, dip it in the blueberry paste stuff, and apply it to your eyelashes. Bonus! If you need longer eyelashes apply some baby powder to the tips of your lashes and apply the paste, and if you need thicker lashes apply baby powder to the base of your lashes and then put the blueberry paste on! Nobody will ever know you are wearing homemade mascara!

2. Again, Vaseline as lip gloss.

3.  Remember, a smile is the best thing to wear on your face!

For Your Overall Body:

1. Drinking a lot of water is hard, up until recently I never drank water because it made me nauseous. (VERY nauseous.) You are supposed to have eight glasses a day, but that is a lot! Especially if you are in school and not allowed to have food or drink with you! So instead, when you are home or whatever, try and drink one or two small bottles or glasses throughout the day. Take some in a thermos if you are going to be out and about. You don't have to chug the water either, you can just be sipping on it every few minutes while on your computer. Water is great for healthy skin, lips, and body!

2. Drink a glass of milk or two if you can, it makes teeth and bones strong as I'm sure you have heard. But if you can't, because like, milk is expensive and you can't really drink four glasses a day, that is excessive, to get the calcium you need eat some cheese or yogurt, but if you don't have any, one thing most everyone has, is Tums, or Antacid Tablets, which is the name for generic off brand Tums. Tums can cut down on the acid in your stomach, BUT, they have a HUUUGGEEE dose of calcium in them, taking one a day can help make up for the milk you can't drink.

3. Exercising is hard, I know. I'm pretty lazy unless we are talking about bike riding. (I LOVE bike riding, I can go on ten mile bike rides because it is so FUN!) But, you don't need a fancy workout to exercise, you don't have to jog, instead, during commercial breaks while watching TV, try getting up and doing fifteen jumping jacks! You have no idea how great it feels to get up, do them, and then sit back down to enjoy your show! You can also... Do two lunges every time someone says the word Hi, Hello, or Hey, while you are watching TV, videos, etc. You can do that while reading as well! Every time someone is eating or drinking on the show you can get up and run in place for twenty seconds! It is very easy to work out and enjoy yourself!

4. Eat an apple a day. Yeah, it is supposed to keep the doctor away, but they have more vitamins than an orange and they are the best fruit for keeping teeth healthy! (That must be why I've never had a cavity, I eat so many apples because I love them.) Also try eating, bananas! They have LOTS of potassium and can also stop stomach aches from happening! Oranges, while low in other vitamins, do have quite a bunch of vitamin C! So try that as well. Remember, you don't have to eat ALL of these a day, but one of these every day or two is really great!

5. This is a mini guide to how much sun you need to get,
If you have extremely pale skin all the way to a light medium color, you need between ten and twenty minutes of time in the sun without sunscreen, hats, or sunglasses. You only need ten minutes if you are very pale, and you need more around twenty if you are up to a medium skin tone. Because lighter skin absorbs the sun's light faster and better and converts it into vitamin D very easily! Which is why pale people burn really fast. If your skin is more in the range darker medium (Olive tones, etc.) to very dark (African American/Black/whatever you chose to have your skin tone called.) you need more like thirty to forty five minutes of unprotected time in the sun. That is because dark skin doesn't absorb light easily, so being in the light up to forty five minutes ensures you are getting your needed vitamin D.

Those are all my tips for you for now!

WIP Astrid Cosplay: Update

I said I would update on the Astrid cosplay, well, I'm getting farther along in the work! I now have:

Both of the shoulder pads.

A long stick/log that my dad will have to cut for the axe handle.

The material for the arm guards.

Dark red fabric and METAL SPIKES for Astrid's skirt.

And some brown fur like stuff so I can make the boots!

Here is a picture of the materials that I got! (Minus the log and shoulder pads.)

See! Big and little spikes, red fabric, fur/fleec-ey stuff, the cloth for arm guards, and thread!

That is all I have to say, bye for now!

My Astrid Hofferson Cosplay Goal, IS GOING TO BE COMPLETED!

So a long while ago I said I wanted to cosplay (Costume Play is kinda the definition of Cosplay if you are confused.) Astrid Hofferson from the first How To Train Your Dragon movie. I look a lot like Astrid actually, rounded face, big roundish light blue eyes, pale skin, blonde hair, (Well, my hair is like a very dark brown now, my mom said she could put blonde highlights in my hair, so I'm good.)

Anyway, the reason WHY I am able to:

1. HALLOWEEN. It is a total excuse for my mom to spend a bit of money for materials for me, so I'm using it up!

2. I have Astrid's hair! Not just color, length, and consistency, but I have her bangs as well! Yup, a few days ago I got my hair trimmed a bit, and while I was there I asked the stylist if I could have bangs like the picture I showed her. (I did awkwardly show her a good picture of Astrid.... )

And with a month of time the costume will be hopefully completed before Halloween, with enough time for some photoshoots. I want good pictures of me in our woods, and I'm hoping, that maybe just maybe, I can convince my parents to let me post some photos of me all dolled up, well, more like all roughed up like Astrid.

So far in the process I have completed only a few of the many thing I have to do. These things are,

One of her shoulder pad pieces of armor, I got the one for my right shoulder done, it looks decent. Could be better, but I have to make them out of foam due to budget and how hard it is, but the one I have done doesn't look bad.

I also have her braid near perfect, well, I know how to do it, but I might need to have someone do the complicated part on the top of my head, and then braid the, well, lets just say the braid looks cool, but it is still hard.

And of course I have the bangs cut.

The things I still have left to do, make, and get:

Make her shoulder armor for my left shoulder,

Make her shirt, which I will do by getting to or three old t-shirts from a thrift shop, and then cutting them into strips and sewing them back together into a sort of stretchy tube thingy.

I need to make her arm guard things, I'm thinking yellowed out old t-shirt or some canvas, sew it around, and make it over my hand a bit.

By or tailor some boots,

For sure I'm going to buy some blue-ish grey colored leggings,

Her skirt, leather is expensive I'm guessing, So I might just make it out of a thick dark red colored material.

Her headband, I'm thinking leather cord like that of that size and amount would be cheap enough to buy a teeny tiny bit of.

And her axe, yes, I am not going to forget Astrid's trusty axe. I'm going to find a round stick in our woods, have my dad cut it to size, I might make a couple marks on it, and grab this one leather cord I have and tie it around it, and the axe head will be cardboard cut and painted.

After all the work, it will be for sure worth it. I will keep you updated on how I'm doing with it. Bye for now!

So my dolls rooms have changed.....

The Dolls over at Madness and Fun With The Dolls, got a room change, because our playroom, was rearranged and now I have two small shelves for my dolls!

This one,
Is more of a storage shelf, with all of my dolls packed onto it to keep them safe up off of the floor. (And WOW they look creepy and weird in this particular photo.)

And the other one,
And this shelf is a room! Actually it is the new bedroom for the set of The Azalea's Willow ! Astrid and, um, Ryder posing as a boy, (Whom isn't a doll or split doll personality, so I have just been calling him 'A gentleman' or 'Gentleman' when I am not shooting for the show. Maybe I should just call him by the character he plays, (Danny.) Anyway, so that are the new storage\rooms for my dolls, and this is part of the new set of The Azalea's Willow,

(Look closely in this above photo at the pink bookshelf, on the top shelf in front of the pink and green box, is a tiny toy Stormfly from How To Train Your Dragon, it can be seen in the show occasionally and is a joke on Lyla (The character Astrid plays,)'s real name, which is Astrid of course. Haha.

Well, goodbye for now, I will probably have a September Favorite post up as the next thing on here, so keep an eye out for that!

The Hobbit; An Unexpected Journey. This movie rocks, and I am loving it, hopefully I will be able to see Desolation of Smaug sometime soon.

CoverGirl Lash Blast Length mascara in the color Black-Brown.

E.L.F Cosmetics. (Spoilers!)

Makeup Review #1: CoverGirl Last Blast Length Mascara.

Okay, so this is going to be a bunch of reviews on makeup I've used. If you do not wear makeup or are not allowed, then you can stop and leave, OR you can keep reading and make a list of what to get for when you reach the moment when you are allowed (Which, was an awesome moment for me, though I was  literally only allowed to wear eye shadow and lip gloss, nothing else.)

So today we have this:

This lovely mascara in its yellow tube will probably be something I restock on once I run out.

So I have tried three mascaras, I own them all, but this is my favorite. The other two I have make my eyes water so easily because the formula is so heavy it will mess with my lashes and make my eyes water to the point I look like I'm crying.

But this one is a thinner formula, most likely because it is designed for lengthening your eyelashes, and not making them super full looking. Mine is in the shade Black-Brown, and I adore it. There is nothing better than this color and formula.

Another reason I love it, the brush is slightly thinner and makes applying easier (For me) because my lashes are very long. As a child they would and almost still can reach almost to my eyebrows, and so the thin brush and a heavy upward stroke makes my mascara look awesome.

I would suggest getting this mascara because:

A. It is affordable. You don't really need 30$ mascara, this one is less than 7$ everywhere, but varies slightly depending on the store. So cheap is on its side.

B. It looks amazing on people who have pale skin and green, blue, or grey eyes (Or all three!) Though I'm pretty sure a tanner skin and brown eyes would look pretty good to.

C. As I've stated before, it is a thinner formula and makes applying it a lot easier.

Problems with it:

A. If you don't let it dry, and then blink, it will smudge onto your skin. Thankfully, wetting your finger quickly and wiping away the smudges and excess is very easy.

B. If you apply too much it makes your eyelashes clump together. Which is not good.

So there we have it! The first review of some of my makeup products, there will be more, and keep an eye out for other things as well!

I Did A Marathon!

On Netflix....... This was the sum up of my Saturday: Wake up, watch TV, eat two muffins, spend literally the rest of the day marathon-ing Baby Daddy on Netflix. Also, I don't recommend Baby Daddy because of the bad content... But if you are over the age of like, 14, go ahead and knock yourself out. The content.... And the language.

Besides falling in love with the show, (And one of the actors who is 6'5 and by far one of the greatest characters.) I have done nothing, no wait, I re-did my nails today after some handsanitizer melted the nail polish off of my nails..... And last night we roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. I haven't done too much.... Well, bye!

American Girl at The Fair

So I went to the fair a week ago, and may I just say, THE AMOUNT OF DOLLS AND DOLL CLOTHES THERE, WAS INSANE.

First I saw this outfit someone submitted, and one a blue ribbon for!

And because there will be an AG store in my state soon, and the fact that there is a fashion show, I SAW THIS! The woman at the booth, was super friendly, and gladly moved out of the way for a second so I could get a good picture. Everything at the booth was so cute!

Next there was this poster, IT HAS KIT AND SAMANTHA IN THEIR NEW OUTFITS!!!
I LOVE Kit's outfit, but I don't know how I feel about Samantha.

In the 4-H department a girl submitted this cute little skirt. She did good!

Also in the 4-H area was Kanani in this dress! OMGOSH IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL! I love it! Everything was so awesome!

BONUS:

SOMEONE BUILT DOCTOR WHO LEGO'S!!! AAH it is so cool! Sadly, you can't see the 10th Doctor and Rose because of the angle the photo was taken, but you can see the Daleks and the TARDIS!

Well, nothing else for now, but I hope you enjoyed this awesomeness, Bye for now!

Restoring Our Barn, We Need Your Help!

Alright, so we have this old barn on our property, and it is probably close to being a hundred year old barn. It is in need of repair. Here is a link to where you can donate. But, we also need your help getting the word out about this. So, if you could place on your blog the link above, and this following message, that would be so helpful!

The message:

Hi, we have a very old barn in need of restoring and repair. It is beautiful and I love it, and still being used for our cows. This barn is most likely one hundred years old, and we need donations, lots of them. The goal is twelve thousand dollars, we have no date as to when we need all the money, but as it comes in we will be repairing the barn.
It needs a new roof, some new paint, the base supports, which are stacked stones, are in need of reinforcement due to flooding. And other things like windows and doors need to be fixed as well.
The barn is still in use as cows are kept there and the "shop" an extension adding somewhere between 1930-1960, is used for keep and using and storing tools and other things. The "shop" (Short for Work Shop) was added on as a milking parlor. Things need to be fixed before this old barn, a historic piece, is lost and destroyed. Please, if you can, donate to fix it. ~Abbie R,

That message as with the link and maybe something about this project that you want to say, can be posted on your blog, any social media, or message boards! :}

American Girl's BeForever

I don't know what I think about it yet, except the quiz is awesome! Go here if you want to take it.  I was stunned at how accurate it was, usually when I take these sort of things they are inaccurate. But this one had me spot on!

This is like, almost perfectly accurate! I adore how accurate this was, I am clever and rugged, and sometimes sweet and humble. Go take the quiz, and if you have a blog, post the results if you can. And leave me a link to your post below in the comments! :D

UPDATED: My Makeup/Skin Care Stuff

Haha I have more makeup. Like I needed more, but what do I care. LOL

Overview, (As well as my hair looking messy.)

This CoverGirl Lash Blast Length in the shade, Black Brown. (I am missing my other CoverGirl mascara, and the clear CoverGirl mascara I forgot to feature.... You can see it in the background in the jaw, it has a grey cap.)

These two lipsticks that I don't wear because they are too bright. (Too bright by my mother's standards, not mine. And I am missing my third CoverGirl lipstick. It is just a tad brighter than my natural shade and I CAN'T FIND IT. Waah. ;,{ )

These CoverGirl (Okay almost everything in this post is from CoverGirl unless I say otherwise.) lipglosses.

These three eye shadows, a brown one a blue one and a purple one.

These four nail polishes. The one with the silver lid is from Claire's (Duh.) I got it on clearance. And the other three are from you guessed it, CoverGirl. I adore that blue. Which is why i have two bottles of it!

Yup, that's it for now! And don't even ask how I got that much CoverGirl makeup... It is hard to explain.

Also, super sorry for not updating for a MONTH.  For two weeks I went away to North Carolina to visit my grandmother where we did some awesome stuff, and then I was dropped directly off at Line And Design Camp through 4-H, so all that totaled up to yeah, two weeks away from home. And then craziness happened. But I'm good, hopefully I can update better from now on.

Sewing and Sunflowers.

I've been a crafty mood lately. I've done some sewing since my mom set up her sewing machine in the dining room. In the past three days I've made,

A doll skirt,

A bag,

And a small throw pillow for my mom. :)

All of those were made out of the same material, (An old sheet I'm guessing it was,) But I found different fabrics so now I'm going to be making different things with different fabric.

Also, I painted six feet of sunflowers on a concrete pillar down by our basement. They will wash away next time it rains, but I like them. I'm thinking about painting some on a protected but visible part of our barn. :D Here is a picture of the sunflowers that took me two and a half hours to paint (I was outside until fifteen after nine painting them. That's why the picture is so weird, it was taken at night.) :

And yes that is the shadow of my figure taking a picture of the sunflowers. (My brother shone a light nearby so it was easier to see.) Also, look by that door, on the left side, overtaken almost by the light, is a sunflower that won't get rained on. So it will be there for a while. What do you think? Did I do a good job painting flowers? :3

Randomness. Literally, just random stuff and procrastination.

Hello. Okay so I have this plan to post all the stuff from my quick vaca in NC for a family reunion, but I probably won't because I'm lazy......

Update on me health: My parents and I are like 95% sure I have Acid Reflex. Lots of Tums and Keifer are helping keep the horrid stomach aches away, it's not a concerning health issue, but the fact that I have it, It just. Ya know, bugs me.

Why do I feel like everyone on the internet probably sees me as sweet and nice and geeky and smart and always dresses modestly? I have no clue. Because today I went out shopping with my mom wearing not appropriately long shorts, and a shirt that if I grow two more inches will be a crop top. ;)

And gods my personality. I'm pretty and thin and I get stares and such from guys. But even though I dislike the stares and whistles, I still act really, flirtatious. I swish my hips when I walk, (Not always on purpose though, LOL.) I keep a little smile or smirk on my face to keep people amused, I'm just interesting like that. I always feel like when I'm actually allowed to date, I will try to be good but I will be a little to flirty. It's kinda my personality. If I could choose different song lyrics to describe myself:

'She's cool but she's cruel and she knows what she's doing......... She's bitter sweet, she knocks me off of my feet.'

Haha. That is me. I'm nice and all in some ways, but I'm downright cruel in some spots. Just in The way I treat certain things though. ;) I think that guys will (are) liking me. And I THINK that they may picture me as a bit, bitter sweet. ;)

Welllll, this was fun. Oh! A storm is (was) here where I live, in a minute and a half of strong wind, we lost two and a half trees. One HUGE probably seventy foot Hickory Nut tree, one Maple, and part of a Juniper.

Yup. That's it. For now. Bye.

Abbie R,

Me again!

Hi. This time it is NOT midnight. It's the afternoon.

So I think I'm gonna try cosplaying Astrid Hofferson from HTTYD. Younger Astrid though, because I'm closer to her age. I'm going to get a blue shirt and add some green and brown if I can. The shoulder pads I'll make, I just need some cardboard and other stuff. The skirt will be hard. Reddish brown leather, but I might try a fabric in that color on top of linoleum, and paper mach'e the spikes.

The boots I'll try to buy, they need to be brown... The axe will be hardest to find/make. But, I can find the leggings and make the arm guard thingys pretty fast. The headband is like, insanely easy.

My eyes are so close to the same color as hers, and my mom said she can out highlights in my hair for the summer, and if I can just persuade them a little more, I'll be getting her bangs eventually. Probably I'll do them myself so they look more rugged. :D Now, that pouch on her hip, and the skulls are my final problem... Foam cut outs spray painted? I could stitch the pouch myself maybe...

Well, until another post.

Abbie R.

*Awkward Silence* Hello.

So where I livs it is currently 11:40 at night. I should be asleep given I have to work and go to VBS tomorrow. But I'm awake (and blogging?) There is the most ANNOYING birds outside my bedroom window. And I really should go to sleep. Haha this is fun. I actually think I had a post in draft supposed to go up before this one, but I never finished it. LOL.

GAH I WANNA SHOOT THOSE BIRDS!

So this weekend I will be at a family reunion. I have to miss the super fun and exciting last night of VBS to go to a reunion with a bunch of family members I don't know. But, I will probably bring a doll or mini doll, and like last year get some pictures.

Maybe do some blogging via non internet needing, writing, app. So that I can enjoy documenting everything, and then later throwing it in to a post and hitting Publish. :p

Update on the now:

I'm busy, and trying to do this week long workout to get back into shape. I do like 50+ crunches on the days I'm supposed to, (I think I missed today's. Oops.) And 30 minutes of cardio. I'm also considering going 24-48 hours of drinking nothing but homemade juice and maybe some Keifer. But it's supposed to flush the bad stuff out of your body, so I'm think that next week I might do that, but for now I'll just make myself some juice and drink a glass of that a day to keep healthy.

It's late, I'm tired, goodnight.

New Perfume

I got a new perfume, FOR TWO DOLLARS!!!

I was out at Cato's Fashion with my mom and little brother, and I love their perfumes, all of which are impressions of really expensive stuff, but every single one is five bucks. Well I noticed two perfumes on clearance! I spritzed the tester of each of them, and fell absolutely in love with one of them, I had some extra cash, (The rest I'm going to buy the book, The Fault In Our Stars with.) And it said, 1.99, and I was like, WOAH, TWO BUCKS FOR AWESOME PERFUME! YES!

So I bought it. It is called Regal Crown our Impression of Katy Perry's Killer Queen.

And wow is it awesome! Here are some pics,

Here is the box, (It's standing in front of my mom's blue purse.) So pretty and fancy!

The side and the price tag, (See, in red pen, 1.99!! :D )

The back and all the stuff it says that nobody reads.

Opening from the top this is the first glimpse.

And the overall bottle! So gorgeous, I love the packaging and bottle shape.

Regal Crown in fancy gold.

The lid that somehow reminds me of Loki's crown in The Avengers.

The scent, this is important. I LOVE this scent. For two dollars it was worth it. It smells sweet like candy and fruit and flowers! If you like mature but not overly fancy, like an everyday springy summery thing, you will like this.

So, If you like cheap, good perfume go to Cato's Fashion and see if they have an impression of an expensive perfume from a celebrity, they also had a Justin Bieber impression scent, Angelina Jolie possibly, Paris Hilton I think, etc.

They also have some other good scents and such. Like a very fancy but earthy scent called something like, Burberry. I forget, (Though once I buy TFIOS, I'm gonna save up and by my mom that Burberry scent, she might like that.)

Over all, I would give this a 4.8 out of 5, and recommend to everyone.

My Makeup/Skin Care stuff.

So this is what I have, what I use, and where I keep my makeup and facial care.

The cabinet above the toilet where I keep it.

The shelf, (There is a cluttered shelf of random stuff above this one.)

First the small stuff,

My Wet N' Wild eye shadow, in the colors I Got New Jeans.

Some cream eye shadow from GeoGirl in the color Earth Angel.

My two favorite nail polish colors, (I can't find my clear one.)
A minty/ neon green from Sally Hansen, (On the right.) And on the left a Wet N' Wild nail polish in the color Caribbean Frost.

Next is a makeup palette from Claire's, (See first picture, farthest item on the right.) I only use a few things in this, but I had a gift card and this was on clearance for 7.00 bucks!

A glass where I keep the few brushes and lip glosses I have. (The A stands for my middle name, Abbie is my fake name if you didn't know.)

The four lip glosses from a set I split up with one of my grandmother's last summer. The pale ones are more glossy then color, the dark ones are super bright, but look great against my insanely pale skin. :D If you are pale, the brighter it is the better it will look, I promise.

And my more expensive lip gloss, also very dark and bright.

Moving on to skin care,

This is an Equate Repairing Lotion. This is a lifesaver! It helps repair your skin, and with its major amount of Benzoyl Peroxide, it makes your skin feel nice and tingly. I got it on clearance for a dollar, but if you find it at Wal-Mart, get it if you can!

My one of many amounts of Vaseline. I apply this stuff every night, keeps down on dry and cracked lips.

And then this stuff, it is/was my mom's. But I have basically taken it for my own. It is Neutrogena Rapid Clear. THIS IS LIKE A MIRACLE FOR SKIN! It does what it says! Reduces break outs in eight hours! I apply this twice a day, and it is amazing. A must have for those who are prone to/have acne. (I don't, but I keep it from coming back, so yeah..)

That's really all I have. I'm planning on trying out some mascara for the first time soon. But I have to go and buy it still, LOL.

Until my next post,

New dress and new book

Here are some pictures of my new dress from Belk.

I was so grateful when my grandmother bought it for me! She said it was a gift for Easter. It has an amazing feel and it fits perfectly! I was so surprised when I tried it on and it fit that well. It was an Extra Small! And I am typically a Small or Medium.

Now don't get all upset because I'm thin and the "ideal" dress size of every woman in America. (I'm size 6 in numbers, Small in regular charts.) This dress ranges from XS to L, possibly XL!! And it flows nicely! The brand is Accidentally In Love, and again, it can be found in Belk as far as I know.

The ribbon bodice has a silky satin feel. And the chest is a ruffled and crimped fabric, same as the skirt.

The skirt is cut unevenly and trimmed with that beautiful aqua blue thread. I love this dress... :)

And! One of many new books I have read\gotten, I suggest Beauty, by Lisa Daily. So perfect! And very truthful, well, in a magical sort of way. Bye for now,

Puffalos and Penguin Knees!

So because I have noooo idea what to post about, today I am going to do something inspired by the Green brothers. I am going to write down every random thought that comes into my mind.

Do unicorns play the ukulele?

Lilo and Stitch!

Stitch has a Glitch!

Vanellope Von Sweets is like the best go-kart-er EVER!

Are cherries, berries or fruits?

Mangoes!

Pineapple Mango Orange Julius from Dairy Queen!

THE MALLLLLLL!!!!

Forever 21 here I come!

Perfume from Cato's Fashion.

Easter!

"Knock it off ya bloody show pony."

MY LITTLE PONY! MY LITTLE PONY!

If Shining Armor married Princess Cadence, who was a princess, who became a queen, does that make him a prince?

And if he was a prince, does that make Twilight Sparkle a princess, twice?

And is Shining Armor's name Shining Armor Sparkle?

Penguins DO have knees!!

Can I have a tiny buffalo the size of my hand that can ride on my shoulder?

And can it be puffy and soft?

Then it will be a Puffalo!

Muffin the Puffalo!

Corgis!

Dogs!

Finley!

Finn!

Fearless Finn Hofferson!

Astrid Hofferson!

Hiccup!

Toothless!

Fish? Fish. Fish! Fiiiiiiiissssshhhhhh!!!!

And there you have it, the way my mind works at night.

Books you should read

Sorry everyone for not updating, but here is a list of books I think everyone should read eventually. ;)

Almost Home by Joan Bauer~ "Sugar Mae Cole sure could use some sweetness in her life." "Almost home, almost happy, soon maybe." This story is a sad but sweet tale that makes you realize how some people live and how great your life may be.

Number The Stars by Lois Lowry~ This book tells the story of a ten year old girl growing up in Copenhagen Denmark in 1943. A bit scary, a bit sad, but gives truth to some things.

The Gentlemen Outlaw and Me by Mary Downing Hahn~ "In the old west, it's easier to be an outlaw than a girl."  This story sets in the old west, a daring adventure with an outlaw, a girl disguised as a boy, and an amazing dog.

The Homeschool Liberation League by Lucy Frank~ Just because this book is good and it needs to be read by more people.

The Trouble with May Amelia by Jennifer L. Holm. "May Amelia is about to learn one thing, she has got more sisu (that's Finnish for 'guts') than seven boys put together!"   If you think your parents are hard on you, read this book. And remember the lessons taught through it.

Yup, that's it. Just books, bye for now!

Frozen Blog Party

I'm joining the Frozen Blog Party   time to answer questions!

   1. Who is your favorite Frozen character (or characters) and why?

Elsa, she wanted her freedom, and as much as I love Anna, she could have just gone back and left her sister. Though the frozen kingdom was a bit of a problem.
  2. Which is your favorite Frozen song (or songs) and why?
I've got a soft spot for Do You Wanna Build a Snowman, but Let It Go tops it off.
   3. If you could make one change to the movie, what would it be?
Probably Elsa and Anna's stubborn ways.
   4. Would you want to see a Frozen sequel?  What would you want it to be about?

Yes, and I would love to see it about Eugene and Rapunzel's trip to Arendelle!
   5.  Ice Palace or Arendelle Castle?

Ice Palace.
   6.  If you could choose a sidekick from the movie, would you choose Sven or Olaf?  Why?

Sven, I want to ride him around.
   7.  Do you think all men pick their noses, as Kristoff claimed?

No. I can certify that "all" men don't.
   8. Which Frozen character is the most like you (or the one you relate to most) and why?

Elsa... We love our younger siblings, but we like to be alone as it gives us freedom. And the cold never bothers us anyway.
   9.  How many times have you seen Frozen so far?

Once, but that will soon change as I now own it on DVD!
  10.  In keeping with my overall blog theme, ;) which of the Frozen dolls that have been released is your favorite?  (e.g. the Disney Store fashion dolls, Disney Store Disney Animator's Collection and Toddler dolls, Limited Edition Disney Store dolls, Mattel dolls, etc)

The Disney Fashion Dolls are my favorite, I should have gotten them...
