And here is how my 4th of July went,

It was about twelve thirty in the afternoon, it was pouring the rain and the creek was starting to rise. I put a down vest on over my mid sleeve blue shirt, and wore mom's old sandals so that I could come. I squeezed in to the truck between dad and mom, with N----- sitting on my lap, we drove to the barn as fast as we could. When we got there mom handed me a jar of food and told me to go feed the cats. I put the food in the bowl than darted up the stairs in to the loft, there I was rejoiced to see the kittens and BC trying to sleep through the noise. I ran back down stairs, put on my gloves, and started helping to move all of the stuff with motors or electricity in it. By the time most of the stuff was loaded up,  the water had flooded in to the barn, It started to get so high that I begged for my parents to let me grab my cats and take them with us, the water was about to flood into the tack room if it got any higher, I ran as fast as I could but under neath all the water I couldn't see anything so I tripped on something possibly a piece of wood, and fell, I had no time to lose, so I jumped up and rescued five screaming kittens and there mama, and put them in the truck. N----- was crying and shakily sitting on the trailer, I hugged him and told him, "Stay here, the water is to high, don't open the truck doors or the cats will get out. I ran back in, I jumped up into the tack room, my shorts were soaked and I was freezing, but I kept moving. Mom and dad were lifting some precious trunks into the barn loft, I stood watching my crying brother from the door, I looked down at the rolling water below me, and when I did I saw blood, My knee was bleeding from when I fell, I couldn't even give more than two seconds thought before I jumped back into the rising water and started picking up stuff that was floating away. I ran over to the trailer and stood with my brother for a minute when mom and dad came out to the truck. We couldn't go back to our house, and we were by the road, so leaving for our grandparents house was the best option. But first we threw three of the kittens into the kennel and stuck them in the back of the truck, BC, Sniper, and Tigger got to ride up front with us.

Later that day,

We did get to enjoy our 4th of July, we ate a bunch of yummy food, ice cream, and water melon, shot off fireworks, and watched a movie, it wasn't so bad.
