Easter bunnies

This is a simple and cute craft for younger children.
First get some plain white paper. Then you trace a bunny head shape on to the paper.
 Now cut out the shape and decorate it. Make a bunch of them and pin them to the wall.

Marigold motherhood

Have you ever tried to grow marigolds but it took forever. This might speed it up a little and help them live a long time. Once you plant the seeds give them some water.  Then don't water them for about  four days. Keep this up until  the plants are about  four or five inches tall. Then you must water them every other day. It worked for me. It might just work for you.

Magic bead water

This is a good but kind of odd way to relax. First get a small jar and lid then fill it with water. Next put a little bit of your favorite shampoo or conditioner in the jar. Stir it around then dump out almost all the water leave just enough to water to cover the bottom of the jar. Ad new water then put some beads even add some glitter place the lid on top and keep closed. If you shake it the beads fly around and make a splosh splash tink tink sound. It really is relaxing. It stops you from thinking about things when you watch the beads fly around  in the water.

Bad storms

We were hit by the storms it was really bad. The creek was up and we were in our basement for half an hour. While we were in the basement the power went out. Finally the storms let up a while so we got dressed by flashlight and went out to eat. When we got home the power was back on. So we all watched a movie.

Leap day

Today is leap day a whole extra day to do something with. I hope you guys use it well.

Raising chicks

This is how you raise chicks. Before you get your chicks you should follow this list.

 1. Get a Rubbermaid tub. Depending on how many chicks you want. If you want one to two chicks a small tub will do ( I do not recommend getting one chick it usually gets lonely and starts chirping loudly. And that's annoying ) If you want two to four a medium tub will do. And If you want four to six chicks a large tub will do.

 2. Once you have your Rubbermaid tub you need to get a bedding cedar shavings work best you can buy them in the pet section at Walmart.

 3. Now that you have gotten bedding for your tub you need to get a heat lamp to keep the chicks warm. A heat lamp has a big red or regular colored bulb. If you can not find them in stores you can order them online.

4. Next you need to get feed and water containers. you can buy the base and use an old mayo plastic mayo jar or you can buy a jar to go with the base ( The same goes for the water container )

5. Now you need some chick food for your chicks. Medicated starter food works best it helps them grow while at the same time preventing them from getting sick.

6. Now you are prepared to get your chicks. I recommend Co-op they have a wide variety of choices. If your wondering what breed of chicken is best that all depends on what you want.

Now that you have prepared and gotten your chicks it's time to learn how to care for them.

 1. Place enough cedar shavings in the Rubbermaid tub to cover the bottom of the tub.

 2. Always make sure the heat lamp is on and working. The chicks have to always stay at a temperature between 94 and 98 degrees Fahrenheit.

 3. make sure they have food and water at all times. If you have noticed a chick has not drank anything gently pick up the chick and put your thumb and middle finger together around its neck then take your pointer finger and place it on top of it's head slowly move the chick toward the water then gently push its beak into the water for a second or two then let up the water in its mouth will immediately be swallowed. Once the chicks are two to three weeks old you can give them treats like pasta noodles or clippings of  grass. You may also want to consider  putting in a low perch for them to climb ad perch on.

 4.  You need to keep the chicks home clean by getting rid of the old bedding every six to eight days.

 5. Once the chicks are about three to four weeks old  you can buy chicken wire and build them a temporary pen outside save some chicken wire to build a roof for the pen so the chicks don't get eaten buy anything. Always turn the heat lamp off when the chicks are outside. Make sure the temperature is between 75 and 80 degrees before and during the chicks time outside.  

 Now that your chickens are almost full grown they need to move out of your house.

  1. You need to give them a new home. You can either buy or build them a coop or cage.

  2. Now all you have to do is buy them a bigger water container fill it up and give them some food once a day. And if you bought a breed of chicken that lays eggs then you just need to gather eggs.

Valentines day

Give your valentine a big hug and tell them that you love them. Because valentines day is finally here  YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who doesn't like valentines day? All the flowers and the pink and the red and the hearts the cute little cards and especially the big cuddly stuffed animals.
